Verification Policy

Trust and statutory compliance are the foundations of our platform. This document outlines how Find an Architect verifies the credentials of professionals in the Sri Lankan built environment.

The “ARB Verified” Badge

The blue checkmark badge labeled ARB Verified indicates that the professional has provided proof of active registration with the Architects Registration Board (ARB) of Sri Lanka.

Verification Process

  1. Identity Verification: The professional uploads a government-issued National Identity Card (NIC) or Passport.
  2. Credential Upload: The professional uploads their SLIA Membership Certificate and ARB Annual Practicing License.
  3. Manual Review: Our compliance team cross-references the submitted documents with the publicly available ARB and SLIA official registries.
  4. Badge Issuance: Upon successful verification, the badge is applied. Verification must be renewed annually in accordance with ARB licensing cycles.

Other Professions (Engineers, QS, BIM)

Similar verification processes apply for other statutory bodies:

  • IESL: Institution of Engineers Sri Lanka (for Structural & Civil Engineers).
  • IQSSL: Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka (for QS).
  • BIM/Draftspersons: Verified through NVQ Level certificates or University Diplomas.
